There will be openings for both off-site and on-site Peer Ministers. On-site Peer Ministers as well as Resident Caretakers will be compensated with free housing in the student apartment located off of Brammer Hall. Off-site Peer Ministers are compensated with a small stipend. Applications are due back to Pastor on Sunday, February 12. The selections will be made prior to Spring Break.

Annual Sno-Ball Retreat at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca
“Combating the Big Three: The World, The Flesh, and The Devil.” is the theme for this year’s Sno-Ball Retreat for college students and young adults at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca held January 20-22. The studies will focus on our struggles with temptation from our chief spiritual enemies and the strength we have to overcome them.
This is always a fun weekend of friends and spiritual growth. In addition to people from College Hill, you will also meet students from throughout the Midwest. Costs for the retreat will be subsidized by LSF. Your cost for the entire weekend is $30.
Transportation will take place via carpool and the CHLC van. We will leave College Hill on Friday at 6:30 p.m. to drive to Io-Dis-E-Ca. Registration begins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, with the retreat formally beginning at 9:00 p.m. Saturday will begin with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Devotions will formally close the day on Saturday at 6:30. Sunday begins with brunch at 9:00 a.m. and conclude with worship at St. Paul Chapel, Iowa City at 10:30.
So adequate plans can be made, please sign-up on the sheet located on the bulletin board on the east wall of the Fellowship Hall. When you sign up, indicate how long will you be staying so we can arrange for transportation at the appropriate times.
Jeff Rohlwing Concert: CHLC is pleased to welcome back Christian singer/songwriter Jeff Rohlwing for a concert on Thursday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. Jeff is known for his emotionally driven acoustic music and powerful, moving lyrics. Those who have heard Jeff in his other appearances at CHLC know his heart for sharing the Gospel and desire to encourage the hearts of the saints.
The concert is free to the public. CDs will be available at the door and there will be a free-will offering to help support Jeff’s ministry.
For more information, contact the church office at 266-1274, or check out Jeff’s website at www.jeffrohlwing.com.
You won’t want to miss this concert.
Congratulations to graduating seniors Sara Busch, Joanne Peterson and Mychele Sealine. We wish you God’s richest blessings as you move to the “real” world. Blessings also to Kendra Meyer who will be heading out for student teaching.
