Stewardship Thought: Ephesians 4:1-16: As we stewards grow in the
grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, we mature as part of
the body of Christ and use all of God's gifts to build one another up
within that body of believers. That's God-pleasing stewardship!
Outreach: John 6:22-35: John's account of the aftermath of the
miraculous feeding of the multitudes indicates that the people
continued to search for Jesus because they wanted more food for
their hungry bodies. Jesus urged them to seek the Bread of Life so
they will never hunger or thirst again. As Jesus used His disciples to
point people to the true Bread of Life, so He also uses us to point
starving souls to Jesus, the only Bread of Life.
Building Healthy Families: Having faith and being a Christian doesn't
mean we will never make mistakes. It means that through our
mistakes, we experience God's grace, mercy and forgiveness, which
are ours in Christ. Because we have received mercy, we can grant it
to others when they hurt us. You will make mistakes; so will the people
you love. Forgive yourself; forgive them. Lutheran Family Service of
