Stewardship Thought 2 Corinthians 12:1-10: Even though St. Paul
suffered great abuse because of his faith in Jesus and his preaching
that Jesus is the only Savior of the world, he considered himself to be
blessed in spite of the circumstances. How much more should we
consider ourselves blessed to be a blessing to others as we manage
our time, talent and treasure in a God-pleasing way!
Outreach Idea: Mark 6:1-13: Jesus sent the Twelve disciples two by
two with the authority to cast out demons, heal the sick and preach
that people should repent. We are blessed to be Ablaze! disciples
who follow our Lord's Great Commission to go wherever we can and
speak boldly of the good news of Jesus.
Building Healthy Families: Is it a sin to be angry? Ephesians 4:26 says,
"Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your
anger." For sure, anger becomes a problem when it is felt too
intensely, is felt too frequently, or is expressed inappropriately. But
ignoring it isn't good either. When conflict is ignored, it does not just
go away. It affects your spirit and your relationships. For help with
unresolved anger in your relationship or within yourself, call your
closest LFS counselor. Lutheran Family Service of Iowa 800-622-7285
