News for the week of Sunday, September 7, 2008.
Sunday Van Driver Needed: We have a need for a driver to pick up a family for Sunday School. You would be driving the church van and would have to make a pick up and have the children to the church by approximately 8:50-8:55. Please talk to Nancy Neessen for details. 266-1936. Today our Sunday School students returned to their study of the Old Testament. We began by studying "Worship in the Tabernacle." In the tabernacle, God dwelled with His people, cleansing them and making them holy through the blood of sacrifices. In Christ, God now dwells among us, cleansing us and making us holy through His blood, sacrificed for us on the cross. Ask students, "Why did God direct the people to build the tabernacle? Where do we worship God today?" Adult Fellowship: If you enjoy playing pinochle we invite you to join us at College Hill on Friday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. Bring a snack to Quilting: Ladies we will be meeting again to tie quilts for Lutheran World Relief & Orphan Grain Train.
