News:

Welcome Back Students! Stay after today's Divine Service to be our guests at our famous CHLC potluck. This evening we will be grilling out at 6:00 p.m. and the Brammer Center will be open for you to enjoy our game room. The evening activities will end at 8:00 p.m. Next Sunday we will be going mini-golfing. Meet at the church at 1:30 p.m. All these activities are free for you and your friends. See you there.

Wednesday evening LSF Bible Study and Social Hour returns this week at 8:00 p.m. in the Brammer Center located on the lower level.

Need a ride? The church van will make rounds.

Students meet Pastor Wegener at Maucker Union near Essentials at noon on Thursdays for Table Talk.

The week of August 27-31 volunteers from CHLC will help deliver meals at noon to shut-ins in Cedar Falls. Two volunteers are needed each day except Thursday. They will meet the drivers at the Senior Center, 6th and Main, at 10:45 a.m. They will be finished about 12:15-12:30 p.m. If you are available and willing to help please call Miriam, 266-3234, and tell her which day you are available.

PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 19, 2007
Please take this home with you and put it where you will be reminded daily of the prayer opportunities for our church. This week they are:
1. Pray the help of the Holy Spirit in living the life of faith.
2. Pray the Lord's blessing upon all students and faculty as a new school year begins.
3. Pray the Lord would use each of us to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people around us.
4. Pray for the Lord's healing strength for Walt Krallman, Deb
DeVries's mother Eileen Runia, for Laura Zayas' father and for our shut-ins including Marian Bireline, Rosalie Boone, and Lucinda Peters, and all others who are ill or in any need.
5. Pray the Lord's blessing upon missionary Julia Lutz, as she serves in Papua New Guinea.
"Pray at all times with every kind of spiritual prayer keeping alert and persistent as you pray for all Christ's men and women." (Ephesians 6:18)
