The June/July Newsletter Deadline is tomorrow. Please have all information and articles to the church office by noon on Monday.

Today in Sunday School the children learned that as God did with Paul, so God does with us. Through the Law we are crushed by the weight of our sin and are helpless. As God revived Paul through Ananias (Acts 9:1-31), He revives us through our pastors with the proclamation of His Word and the administration of His Sacraments granting forgiveness, life, and salvation to all who believe. Talk to your children about how the Sacraments and God's Word revive you so that you may live as God's child.

Help us start the season off right by participating in Spring Clean Up this Saturday, May 17. We will begin at 9:00 a.m. List of jobs to be done is posted on the bulletin board in the gathering area. Bring your favorite yard tools and cleaning rags. If you have any questions see Scott Ackles.

Outreach Idea: John 7:37-39: A thirsty person longs for a drink of cool, clear water. Jesus offers something better for thirsty souls- living water. Whoever drinks of this living water [Jesus] will never thirst again. What good news for our thirsty souls-living water that will never dry up. What good news to share with other thirsty souls.

Stewardship Thought: Acts 2:1-21: Empowered by the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit, Peter and the other disciples practiced good stewardship of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by boldly proclaiming that all who call upon the name of the Lord [Jesus] will be saved. Our stewardship is not just about time, talent and treasure, but also about our testimony. May the Holy Spirit help us always to be good stewards of the Gospel, first by believing it and then by sharing it with others.

Building Healthy Families: One of the most precious gifts we can give to our children is the experience of being loved for who they are as children of God. SOAR-Ladies, have you made your reservation to attend the 33rd LWML Convention at the Frontier Inn, in Clinton, June 20-21 ? The keynote speaker at Friday evening's banquet is Dr. Daniel Preus. Saturday interest speakers are Linda Prues and Rev. Richard & Ann Osslund. Dr. Presu and the Osslund's will feature Lutheranism in Africa, and Linda Preus will share Mental Health Issues. With their presentations and the exhibitors sharing their work in the Lord we can SOAR to new heights in our Christian life.

Parents with AD/HD Children: The Parents with AD/HD Children Support Group of the Cedar Valley will meet on Wednesday, May 21, 6:30-8:00 pm., in the Parish Commons at St. Patrick Parish, 705 Main St. (Please enter through the Main Street door.)
